In my short time on deviantART, I have found many many artists whose work I like, several whose work I love, and a handful whose work I cannot imagine life without. Okay... so perhaps that is a bit dramatic, but I am incredibly impressed by the work of a rare few. A couple, in particular, have had me captive in their galleries for the past couple nights:

angelcurls doesn't seem to have a single shot in her gallery that I don't like for one reason or another. However, some are just amazing... downright amazing. If ever orgasmic joy could be derived from photography, I think that her work is it. (Note: even though she does have some amazing self-portraits available, that is not why I chose the word "orgasmic".... pervert!) The contrast, colors, and exposure of her work are masterful. For the good of your soul, look.

devilicious has an extensive gallery with some of the most [insert word that somehow combines "poignant", " emotionally-grasping", and "seemingly well-thought-out"] work that I've ever seen. Again, this artist has several self-portraits in her gallery; perhaps no one else has the expressiveness for which her portraiture demands. And it runs the gammet: where else can one find a shot titled "spoiled" (a big smile and an even bigger 4-scoop goliath of an ice cream cone) right next to a shot called "stickandstones" (a woman fetally huddled in a box of insults). Go check it out. No, really... if you're still reading, stop and go look at her work.

If you're still reading, you are obviously very disobedient, or skipped the last line of the previous paragraph. Either way, you should be ashasmed, and as punishment you should either look further into my limited gallery of work, or extensively into those artists whom I have just endored.
